Rendez vous with Nature

Get close to nature by entering the Medoc Peninsula bordered by the Gironde Estuary and its small charming fishing huts perched above the water that are to be seen during a stop on the waterfront.

The day tour points out the importance of soil and weather conditions, which the French translate into one word : terroir.

The Medoc is the homeland of the most Great Classified Growths (classification of 1855) and benefits from a unique terroir where man’s skill has enabled the traditional grapes to reveal their best qualities with their characteristic elegance and subtlety.

Whether they are organic or biodynamic, you will discover traditional methods of wine-making that are more respectful of nature and that are used by more and more winegrowers rediscovering the benefits and virtues of such methods.

You will also admire many Châteaux of varied and stunning architecture along the famous “Châteaux Road” and taste some of the prestigious red wines produced in the world known appellations such as Margaux, Saint Julien, Pauillac.

- Visit of a family cooperage located south of Margaux which takes you to the heart of a craft based on tradition, technology and all five senses. A tasting of a certified organic wine concludes this trip which introduces you to the elegant alchemy between food and wine.

- Visit of a Classified Growth in the Saint Julien appellation that will let you discover the château’s architectural treasures and the extraordinary diversity of flora found in the château’s beautiful park. This visit will end with a commented tasting of three wines.

- Visit of a third Classified Growth in the Pauillac appellation focused on the approach of biodynamic methods.
After a ride through the vineyard on a golf buggy, you will discover the chateau’ stunning equipments combining tradition and modernity. The visit is followed by a tasting of one of the estate’s magnificent wine.

- Visit of a Great Classified Growth in the Margaux appellation that will offer you a better understanding of the soil diversity, of the blending that defines the Margaux grands crus. The guided tour will end with a tasting of two single grape varieties wines and of two blended wines of the château. (Duration 2 hours).

- Ecological walk * through the vines of a Saint Julien Great Classified Growth on the footprints of Napoleon. Discovery of the” terroir” history and of the man’s work in harmony with nature. The hiking is followed by a visit of the estate’s vatroom and cellars and then by a commented tasting of three wines. (Duration 2 hours).


The walk in the vineyard depends on suitable weather conditions.
