Let yourself be tempted by the poetic and artistic atmosphere of this unique place that will awake all your senses !

Château Gravas, is a delightful manor house superbly located in the land of the prestigious golden wines. The name "Gravas" comes from "graves", a gravelly soil that perfectly suits the production of very aromatic Sauternes wines with some mineral notes reflecting the local terroir of Barsac.

Florence and Michel Bernard, the owners, are careful to preserve a heritage that has been passed on within the same family for 6 generations. Passionate about their land, they are also keen to modernize the reputation of their wonderful sweet wines ant to enhance the image of their magnificent terroir by organizing many cultural events throughout the year.

The attention to detail and aesthetic are indeed to be found everywhere as the Paul Flickinger signed wine labels will attest.
Paul Flickinger, a painter and sculptor from the Lorraine French region, is an authentic and warm hearted person (despite his international reputation) reflecting Château Gravas’ owners personality. They met in an art gallery in Rochefort a few years ago and became good friends since then. Animated by the same passion they decided to unite their two complementary worlds into one.
So you will be able to contemplate a few of the artist’s pieces of art in the former wine cellar or in the estate’s beautiful garden.

This commitment as well as the artistic approach have been rewarded in 2014 with the Golden best of wine in the Art and Culture category. The price was delivered by the Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the organizer of this now famous competition.

However this recognition would not be possible without the warm welcome of the owner Florence, a knowledgeable and passionate woman who makes the visit of the chateau even more attractive.

But the highlight of the tour is without a doubt the tasting of the fine aromatic wines of the estate:
whether sweet, dry white or even red, the chateau newest wine bearing  the Graves appellation, each of the wines will make you travel into a specific universe but still reminding you of the Barsac’s exceptional terroir with that touch of minerality.

Let yourself be tempted by the poetic and artistic atmosphere of this unique place that will awake all your senses !
