This special cuvée gives this old forgotten grape variety its former glory.
This very rare wine aged for six months in oak barrels develops beautiful notes of ripe fruits on the nose. It expresses especially flavours of blackberry, plum and cherry associated with violet.
It will also delight your palate with a silky and rich mouth revealing some pronounced blackberry notes and liquorice notes on the finish.
To be served at 16° C. It will perfectly match with uncooked pressed cheeses, red meat, salmon or even with red fruit desserts.
The wine estate:
Château Mémoires located in the charming village of Saint Maixant, is a young property founded in 1985 by Jean-François Menard. The vineyard extends over 35 hectares along the hillsides of the Garonne right bank facing the Sauternes valley.
Jean-François and his wife Beate produce a large range of wines that are exported worldwide:
Sweet white under AOC (protected designation of origin) Cadillac and Loupiac, dry white and rosé under AOC Bordeaux, fruity and characterful red wines under AOC Bordeaux and AOC Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux.
For sure you will find the wine that suits you !
